Food-Taiwan Porridge : ABC Market Gu Zao Ren Porridge 古早人台湾粥

Once awhile when I feel like something light teochew porridge / taiwan porridge comes to my mind. Actually i don't really know the difference between the two, except that teochew porridge has more braised items like duck, pork belly , tau pok and stuff...

Always see this stall at ABC market but first time to try with a friend who frequent the stall. Based on her recommendation we had 4 rather light dishes namely : stir fried tau gay (bean sprout) , long beans with hei bi, toufu and furong egg.

I was kinda disappointed when i see the portion which are exceptionally small at a normal zi char price ranging from $5 - $8. One plus point is that the porridge is free flow so its always advisable to sit close to the stall coz the auntie will auto refill your porridge.

Food wise its really nice actually, especially the toufu with pork floss on top. The sauce is something i find special but cant figure out what is it. Its slightly sweet and the texture is sticky. Together with the floss, the tofu is so smooth and yummy! Well though the portion are small, its really just right for the 2 of us.

4 dishes, no meat cost us $22. Thats when i find it a bit too pricy...
